Projects and Tasks

There are simply no breaks—no opportunity to ever finish the projects that continue piling up. We need help. Caring for 30 dogs and maintaining the resources for the dogs is a multi-person full-time job. Maintaining a 7 acre ranch is a full-time job. We cannot do it by ourselves anymore.

1. Develop a new plan for the kennel roofing so we can house dogs in need.

2. Develop a landscaping solution to stop the flooding.

3. Develop a solution for the castle area to prevent dirt buildup and mold.

4. ??-Remove the flower box if necessary to eliminate the water problem.

5. Complete the accounting system migration.

6. Find a volunteer/project manager to help.

 

Urgent - Property

1. Remove the clinic crates and scrub, clean, and pressure-wash the entire clinic floor-Cleaning

2. Remove all debris behind house so backhoe can be used-Clean up

3. Install a front-door threshold to prevent water from entering the house-Construction

4. Install Clinic Rear door threshold-Construction

5. Complete the shed roof and bury or secure the sides-Roofing

6. Install the replacement fuel pump in the ranch utility vehicle; (part in hand)-Mechanical

7. Repair Pressure Washers – install pumps/carburetors for cleaning-Mechanical

8. Clean out RV & install a tarp over the window. The RV transports dogs for walks-Cleaning

9. Take the garbage to the dump. Need Pickup working-Clean up

10. Remove metal panels from east and south sides of isolation kennels-Labor

11. Install new 4” pipe for drainage-Plumbing

12. Repair volunteer bathroom septic pipe-Plumbing

13. Repair the dog water fountains and install a regulator-Plumbing

14. Repair the roof leak-Roofing

15. Mark-Dig out all dirt including sump pump by clinic back door-Backhoe

16. Mark-Dig up and install new drainpipe for clinic pipe-Backhoe

17. Mark-Rebury front yard-Backhoe

18. Mark-Grade all water towards back of property-Backhoe

19. Mark-Dig front drainage pit down more-Backhoe

Urgent-1 - Dogs

1. Fill the dog food bins-Dog Care

2. Deworm all dogs-Dog Care

3. Socialize and walk the dogs; they are becoming depressed. Need RV working.-Dog Care

4. Mark-Give Sam a skunk bath.-Dog Care

5. Clean all dog pools.-Cleaning.-Dog Care

6. Dig a hole and install Rose’s pool drainpipe-Digging-Dog Care

7. Paint Cassie’s doghouse. When dry -Painting-Dog Care

8. Replace the GFCI receptacle with a standard receptacle, if appropriate and code-compliant-Electrical

9. Install irrigation valves so the shade trees do not die-Plumbing

10. Remove all carpets from the dog areas, add and compact dirt, install landscape fabric, and lay new ground covering or carpet-Labor-Dog Care

11. Dig trenches and Install water fountains in Cassie’s play yard, Ammo’s play yard, garage, back of house and the isolation play yards.-Labor-Dog Care-plumbing

12. Clean all water fountains-Dog care-cleaning

13. Center Pole for Ammo’s run-labor-dog care

14. Install a tarp on the east wall of Rose’s play yard.

15. Repair or install water fountains in the garage area-Dog Care-plumbing

16. Install additional front-yard fencing to prevent dogs from escaping--Dog Care-fencing

17. Fence the three-acre dog-walking property or sell the propertyDog Care-fencing

18. Clean all paddock areas of trash etc. so dogs can safely run there-Labor-Clean up- Dog Care

19. Install metal fencing along the front to reduce stress on the dogs-Dog Care-fencing

20. Diagnose and repair the F-350/ranch truck transmission problem-Mechanical

21. Repair the F-350/ranch truck fuel pump-Mechanical

Phase 2-House

1. Repair the guest bathroom sink.

2. Clean out the material box and discard everything that has been ruined.

3. Install the whole-house water filtration system.

4. Hang doors in the bedroom, east wing, clinic, and enlarge the door openings where needed.

5. Install the catio for the cats.

6. Install gutters above the flower box to prevent water from seeping into the house.

7. Sweep the roof, clean the gutters, and repair damaged gutters.

8. Repair the backhoe.

9. Pressure-wash, mop, and clean the dining room floor.

10. Pressure-wash, mop, and clean the living room floor; it is now damaged beyond help.

11. Pressure-wash, mop, and clean the hallway floor; it is now damaged beyond help.

Phase 3

1. Install a cover on the materials shed.

2. Clean out the loading dock.

3. Redo the front-yard plumbing that supplies water to the dogs.

4. Install a water line and electrical conduit for the front-yard dog area.

5. Install landscape fabric to control weeds.

6. Move all rocks currently stored on pallets to the paddock areas.

7. Clean and refill the old portable fuel tank.

8. Install a new rack and pinion in the Hyundai. (LOL)
